GRADUATE RECOGNITION was held on June 2, 2024.

St. John’s would like to congratulate all the 2024 High School graduates! Blessings to you as you begin your next journey in life! We congratulate especially Brady Bacon, Jack Florida, Michael Florida, Thomas Fosleer, Brielle Haslam, Charlotte Hendrickson, Xander Lisowski, Noah Lisowski, Kiran Mandrekar, Max Mathews, Carson, Nott, Jocelyn Schuepbach, Dayne Severson, and Dariene Zimmerman.

It is a tradition at St. John’s to present fleece tied blankets to our graduating seniors who would like one, this year was no different! Congregation members assisted by saying a prayer or two for the graduates as they tied knots on the blankets. Graduates were recognized during worship on Sunday, June 2.

The Scholarship Committee would like to congratulate the following high school seniors who will be receiving a scholarship on behalf of St. John’s, to be used for their secondary education:
Xander Lisowski (Mechanical engineering at UW-Madison)
Noah Lisowski (Biomedical engineering at UW-Madison)
Carson Nott (Music Performance and Musicology
Jocelyn Schuepbach (Psychology at UW-Eau Claire)

MAY 2024

VETERANS BRUNCH was held on May 5, 2024.

THANK YOU to our VETERANS! A brunch was held on Sunday, May 5, to honor our Veterans. A wonderful meal was served, and all enjoyed a program from the Custom Canines group – they volunteer their time to train the dogs to help Veterans with PTSD or other challenges. We want to thank Dana Hoffman and Vicki Witherspoon for their help serving and cleaning up. – Cal Gilbertson

WELCA SALAD LUNCHEON was held on Thursday, May 9, 2024

A big thank you to all the women who so generously donated salads, cookies, or cash this year to the salad luncheon. We had a total of 98 women and men attend our event. Ondra Williams, John Cuta, Kent Willians (Ondra’s dad), and Dennis Josi, provided a wonderful musical program, along with a few jokes.

I also want to thank the women who helped set up, serve, and clean up.

Also a big thank you to the men who put all the tables and chairs away for another event that followed ours. We made $1,050.00, which will be used to support St. John’s youth, our devotional books (Christ in the Home), and kitchen supplies. It was a great day for everyone to enjoy a wonderful meal and good fellowship. We are so richly blessed here at St. John’s.

– Bonnie Gilbertson, Chair
